Help us learn more about our urban ecosystems by logging observations of plants, insects, fungi, and animals in your neighborhood! iNaturalist is a community-science platform that is free to use.
This data directly informs our study on urban biodiversity and assessing who in our city has access to native biodiversity and who has the highest invasive species burdens. We are also collecting data on rodenticide use.
While we aren't quite ready for volunteers yet, we would love to have you join us in the future! We will have opportunities to work on field data collection such as finding scat, outreach events, and habitat restoration among others. We also hope to host paid internships in the future as funding becomes available. We are always happy to work with advanced high school and undergraduate students on research projects.
One of the best ways to help support us and wildlife in your neighborhood is teaching your neighbors about wildlife and how to co-exist! Share our resources as you see fit! In the future we hope to have social media toolkits available as well as guides about different species.
